As a result of this training, participants will:

  • Enhance understanding of the impact of trauma
  • Identify potential risk factors that can increase suicidal thoughts, feelings, or actions
  • Identify protective factors that can decrease the risk of suicidal thoughts, feelings or actions
  • Explore safety planning skills with sexual or domestic violence survivors who may be considering suicide
  • Explore the resources available to assist domestic and sexual violence advocates in meeting the needs of domestic and sexual violence survivors who may be considering suicide.
