Presentation Development and the Adult Brain

AUDIENCE: KCSDV member program advocates and staff only.

This training will focus on developing effective presentations on sexual and domestic violence for adult participants using research focusing on adult learning styles, creating learning objectives and developing evaluation measures for your curriculum. This is an interactive training that requires participants to bring material to create/ improve for current or future presentations. Further instructions will be provided before the training.

Registration 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Lunch is on your own. Please bring any snacks or beverages that will make you comfortable for this training since we cannot provide them.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Develop concrete learning objectives that can be measured
  • Produce effective PowerPoints
  • Differentiate styles of adult learning
  • Design different types of activities based on adult learning
  • Develop evaluations measures
