Protection from Stalking or Sexual Assault Act: New Legal Remedy for Sexual Assault Victims - Lawrence

This training will provide an overview of the new law that took effect on July 1, 2017.
The Protection from Stalking Act is now the Protection from Stalking or Sexual Assault Act.
A brief overview of the changes to the court forms will be provided.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify a strong petition for protection from stalking or sexual assault
  • Explain the protection order process in Kansas
