ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Kym Worthy
Kym Worthy, the “toughest woman in Detroit,” is the current prosecutor of Wayne County, Michigan. Prosecutor Worthy has been committed to resolving a massive backlog of unprocessed sexual assault kits in Detroit since 2009. She raised awareness of the issue after discovering more than 11,000 sexual assault kits—some of which had been sitting unprocessed for a decade or more—in a Detroit Police Department overflow storage facility.
