Backgrounder
The Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence is a statewide network of domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy programs serving all 105 counties in Kansas. It is governed by a board of directors comprised of a representative from each of 30 victim service/shelter agencies in Kansas. It is the only coalition of domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy programs in Kansas.
Mission & Goals
KCSDV works to support these advocacy programs by increasing public awareness through education and advocacy, exploring new options for services and funding, and by working for social change. The primary goals are safety, accountability, and justice.
Staff
KCSDV has a staff of 28 full-time advocacy professionals and support staff who provide a comprehensive program of support and advocacy to Kansas programs and other entities that provide services to, or have impact upon, victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking.

1978: Kansas Organization of Sexual Assault Centers founded
1979: Kansas Association of Domestic Violence Programs founded
1989: Coalitions merge to form the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence
Membership
KCSDV's 30 member programs provide support and safety to the victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking through direct services. Programs serve women, children, and men. Some of the services provided include crisis calls, information and referrals, criminal justice advocacy, civil court advocacy, personal advocacy, assistance with transportation, assistance with compensation, and assistance with Protection from Abuse Orders.
