Federal Fiscal Year 2007
The Kansas Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent and eliminate sexual and domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. Currently, 30 community-based sexual and domestic violence advocacy organizations are members of KCSDV. They provide comprehensive services to victims. During the most recent federal fiscal year (October 1, 2006 – September 30, 2007), 22 programs reported the following:
Crisis Hotline Calls: 20,327
Victims Served: 17,809
These are the number of victims receiving face-to-face services.
Victims Sheltered: 3,089
Sheltered Units: 73,144
These are the number of nights in shelter and transitional housing that victims
and their families received.
