Advanced Skill Enhancement Workshop: Working with Survivors Experiencing Multi-Abuse Trauma 2014


AUDIENCE: Advocates with at least one year of work experience with a KCSDV member program and completion of SAAC or DVAC, preferably both.

An Advanced 2-day Skill Enhancement Training for DV/SA advocates who are working with survivors experiencing multi-abuse trauma. Information will be provided regarding the dynamics and impacts of multi-abuse trauma including: risks and safety issues, strategies for supporting survivors and coordinating services with community resources. Advocates will have an opportunity to practice skills associated with supporting survivors with multi-abuse trauma in crisis situations.

 


 

PRIOR TO THE EVENT

WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS are required to listen to "Webinar: Understanding Trauma and Mental Health in the Context of Domestic Violence:
An Integrated Framework for Healing and Social Change"
