Sandy Barnett, Executive Director
Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence
Sandy Barnett has been involved in the sexual and domestic violence movements for 24 years. Before becoming Executive Director of KCSDV in 1997, she was Executive Director at The Crisis Center, Inc. in Manhattan. She currently serves on the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board created in October 2004 by Governor Sebelius.
Rev. Al Miles
Queen's Medical Center
Honolulu, Hawaii
Rev. Miles is a minister, anti-violence activist and national speaker on domestic violence and teen dating abuse. He currently serves as chaplain in the Pacific Health Ministry department at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Miles received his undergraduate degree from Anderson University (Indiana), and his Master of Divinity degree at the Anderson School of Theology (Indiana). He has been an ordained minister in the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) since 1983.
Miles frequently trains leaders from a multitude of faiths on domestic violence and teen dating abuse. He is a member of the National Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women, the Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence National Advisory Board, and the Liz Claiborne, Inc. Advisory Board on Teen Dating Violence and Abuse.
His books include "Domestic Violence: What Every Pastor Needs to Know," "Violence in Families: What Every Christian Needs to Know," and "Ending Violence in Teen Dating Relationships: A Resource Guide for Parents and Pastors."
