6/23/06 Cherokee Cnty: Woman, 46, killed after being shot nine times in the chest. Man claiming to be her common-law husband was charged.
6/9/06 Butler Cnty: Pregnant girl, 14, found dead in a field. Her ex-boyfriend and two others were charged with her murder. Her ex-boyfriend was also charged with rape.
5/22/06 KC, MO: Kansas woman, 43, shot and killed near her workplace. Police suspect her ex-boyfriend killed her before he committed suicide.
4/26/06 Allen Cnty: Woman, 19, found dead. Man she had been dating charged with murder and rape.
3/19/06 Johnson Cnty: Woman, 69, found strangled to death. Her husband was ordered to take a mental competency exam to see if he was fit to stand trial in her murder.
1/16/06 Clay Cnty: Woman, 49, shot and killed. Police claimed her husband killed her before he committed suicide.
