Advocates Across Kansas Join Together for SAAM Day of Action
Today, advocates across Kansas are wearing teal, the color of sexual assault prevention, and participating in the SAAM Day of Action. Advocates joined together for a collective Zoom photo to show their support for survivors.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), and the first Tuesday of every April is the SAAM Day of Action. The SAAM Day of Action is an opportunity to start off the month with highly visible and coordinated actions.
Chances are someone in your life is a survivor of sexual assault, even if they have never shared their story with you. By wearing teal and taking action, you’re showing that you support survivors and are a safe person to talk to if someone needs to reach out for help.
If you or someone you know needs help, call the Kansas Crisis Hotline: 1-888-363-2287 or visit www.kcsdv.org/find-help.
Si necesita apoyo o si alguien que conoces necesita apoyo, llame a la línea de ayuda de crisis en Kansas al: 1-888-363-2287 o visite www.kcsdv.org/find-help.
