Position: Education and Training Coordinator
Responsible To: Division Director
Primary Responsibility: The Education and Training Coordinator, in collaboration with the Director of Education and Training works with and across all levels of the organization to implement state-level initiatives, including an annual statewide training and education plan, that improves the awareness of and cross-system response to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. In addition, the Education and Training Coordinator works with other team members to deliver core and advanced training to improve responses.
Specific Duties:
- In collaboration with the Director of Education and Training, coordinate the development and implementation of an annual training and education plan for KCSDV member programs and allied professionals on core and advanced topics.
- Coordinate KCSDV’s education and training events, including outcome evaluation in collaboration with the Training Coordinator.
- Coordinate the development and update of core and advanced training content/curricula and materials.
- Train on core and advanced trainings for member programs and allied professionals.
- Coordinate annual review and update of in-person training curricula and on-line training modules and related materials.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices, current research and literature, and effective and appropriate responses to sexual and domestic violence.
- Provide opportunities for staff development on adult learning principles and trainer skills, including a training of trainers.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Provide technical assistance on issues related to the project.
- Assist with other KCSDV duties as assigned.
Employment Status: Full-time; Non-Exempt

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum five years of experience in sexual assault and domestic violence, including providing training, engaging in collaborative efforts, and/or providing advocacy services to victims/ survivors. Knowledge of issues related to sexual and domestic violence intervention and prevention. Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently and with a team, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Demonstrated commitment to KCSDV’s mission and philosophy, including social justice values and anti-oppression work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to travel in Kansas and out-of-state and have own means of transportation. Must be able to lift and carry 20-30 lbs.

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000
