Position: Training Coordinator


Responsible to: Director of Education and Training


Primary Responsibilities: The Training Coordinator supports KCSDV’s mission by coordinating trainings, managing related logistics, and serving as the primary administrator for Coalition Manager (KCSDV’s learning management system and database). This position will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of all in-person, hybrid, and virtual trainings and events, staying informed on updates to Coalition Manager, and overseeing technology in KCSDV’s meeting spaces and trainings.


Specific Duties:

· Secure training venues and coordinate trainer travel and contracts, ensuring training costs stay within budget.

· Facilitate training advertisements and registration through virtual training platforms.

· Maintain and utilize training technologies, including Zoom, KCSDV training center technology systems, and other audiovisual equipment.

· Ensure consistent evaluation of in-person, virtual, and online trainings and assist with grant reporting.

· Serve as the organization’s primary contact for training planning, implementation, and logistical support.

· Provide onsite training support as needed, assisting with set-up, registration, and other logistics.

· Act as the primary point of contact for users of Coalition Manager, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and system training as needed.

· Maintain the Coalition Manager resource library.

· Ensure Coalition Manager access groups, mailing lists, and contacts are regularly updated and accurate.

· Develop, maintain, and update training catalogues and calendars.

· Review and update internal training procedures to ensure best practices are followed.

· Assist with other KCSDV duties as assigned.

Employment Status: Full-time (36 hours/wk), non-exempt (hourly)


Salary Range: $55,000. We know that the practice of salary negotiation can contribute to pay inequities, this starting salary is non-negotiable. Our compensation structure—as well as our approach to future compensation adjustments—is transparent to all employees.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed: Experience in training or event planning and coordination, including evaluation, is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and manage information effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Zoom. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Commitment to social change and anti-oppression work, with preference given to candidates with experience using virtual training platforms and evaluation tools. Ability to travel and access to reliable transportation. Must be able to lift and carry 20–30 pounds.

Location: This position offers a collegial working environment in our offices in downtown Topeka, KS. with a hybrid in-person/remote work schedule. Remote work is set for most staff on Mondays and Fridays, with weekly office hours as 8:30am-5:00pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8:30am-12:30pm (Fridays)
