KCSDV Recognizes National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).

KCSDV staff wore red today to raise awareness about this epidemic and to honor the far too many Indigenous women and girls who have disappeared or been murdered. The epidemic of MMIWG is deeply rooted in colonization and is deeply connected to sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking.
