The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (KCSDV), and the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCADSV) ask communities to sue today’s homicide of Kasandra Perkins in Kansas City to shine the light on the dangers victims face in their own homes and to facilitate conversations about healthy relationships.
On average, three women are killed by their intimate partners every day in the United States. Domestic Violence occurs across socio-economic, ethnic, racial, and educational backgrounds – anyone can be a victim.
NNEDV, KCSDV, and MCADSV send our deepest sympathies to the families in Kansas City who apparently are dealing with the tragic aftermath of an intimate partner homicide-suicide.
