Statement regarding Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)

Pivotal piece of legislation is modernized and strengthened

We are so pleased to see the Violence Against Women Act reauthorized and signed by President Biden. VAWA is about changing and saving lives. VAWA is about changing our culture to make this violence unacceptable in our communities and our homes. Thank you to all the advocates who have dedicated their lives to ending this violence. And, to victims and survivors, we are here for you.
