64-Hour Adult, Adolescent & Pediatric SANE SART Course – HAYS – September 2022

Rural 64-Hour Adult, Adolescent & Pediatric SANE SART Course

Audience: Healthcare professionals (APRN, RN, LPN), SANEs, physicians, physician assistants, law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, mental health professionals, and other professionals who work with victims of sexual assault.

KCSDV is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 67 (pending approval) contact hours applicable for APRN, RN, or LPN relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing provider number: LT0291-0914.

KCSDV continues to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and will make adjustments, as necessary.  Registrants will be notified of any changes.  We will follow CDC KDHE and KLETC guidelines at this training to prevent the spread of COVID-19.


Course Description

This course is comprised of recorded presentations and 4 days of in-person training, offering a total of 67 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits. The recorded presentations have two final quizzes that must be completed as a requirement for this course.  This course combines the 40-hour Adult/Adolescent course and the 40-hour Pediatric Course into one 64 hour course, which meets the SANE-ADULT/ ADOLESCENT /PEDIATRIC Education Guidelines.

The recorded presentations must be completed by September 16, 2022. The in-person training is scheduled for September 13-16,2022.

Part 1: Recorded Presentations (36 CNE Hours)

Recorded presentations will be made available to approved registrants and must be completed prior to attending the in-person course. The recorded presentations have a quiz that must be completed as a requirement for this course. Recorded presentations must be completed by September 13, 2022.

Part 2: In-Person Training (31 CNE Hours)

Tuesday, September 13 – Friday, September 16, 2022
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Lunch 12:15 – 1:30 p.m. (on your own)

Nurses, physicians, physician assistants are required to attend all 4 days in-person training.

*SART Team Members are required to attend in-person Day 1 & 2.  Day 3 & 4 in-person attendance is optional for these SART Team Members.

*SART Team Members: Law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, mental health professionals, and other professionals who work with victims of sexual assault.

Socially distanced seating and masks will be available at this training/location. 

 

In an effort to limit exposure by reducing face-to-face contact and preventing the spread of COVID-19 among people in community settings, this training will have a socially distanced seat layout and masks will be available.

A variety of experts in the fields of law enforcement, attorneys, advocates, forensic science crime lab and medical-forensic professionals.

Fee: $175**

** The registration fee for this course ($175.00) is being paid by Pittsburg State University ANE-SANE Grant Sponsorship for professionals who work with rural or underserved victims/patients of sexual assault. All registrants will be asked to complete a form stating that you serve rural or underserved victims/patients of sexual assault.  No-shows and cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event may be assessed the registration fee.
