Training Description:

The Kansas Protection Order Project is excited to provide a space for advocates to take a deep dive into protection orders through a 5-part roundtable series. Roundtables will include guidance on the Kansas Protection Order Portal, when and how to use the UCCJEA, safety planning, community collaboration, protection order basics, and best practices. The purpose of this series is to bring advocates to the table to discuss their experience with the protection order system and answer any questions they may have around assisting survivors with protection orders.

Objectives:

  • Understand protection order basics and best practices; and
  • Effectively assist survivors navigate the Kansas Protection Order Portal.
