Description:

This interactive, in-person training will provide best practice information on collaboration development and sustainability for rural communities, including Coordinated Community Response Teams (CCRTs) and Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs). We will examine the benefits of collaboration, including the importance of a diverse multidisciplinary team. Understanding best practices can improve a collaborative team’s response to survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

As a result of this training, participants will be better able to:

  • Identify the dynamics of sexual and domestic violence, and trauma-informed practices for working with survivors.
  • Describe special considerations and barriers when serving rural survivors.
  • Describe the importance of collaboration.
  • Identify and apply best practices for rural collaboration development, CCRs, and SARTs
  • Identify resources for survivors of sexual and domestic violence
