Audience: KCSDV member program advocates and staff, law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, mental health professionals, child advocacy center staff, and other professionals who work with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault

Description:

This training will provide advocates and allies with best practices for rural collaboration development, including best practices for Coordinated Community Response (CCRs) and Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs).

As a result of this training, participants will be better able to:

  • Identify the dynamics of sexual and domestic violence, and trauma-informed practices for working with survivors.
  • Describe special considerations and barriers when serving rural survivors.
  • Describe the importance of collaboration.
  • Identify and apply best practices for rural collaboration development, CCRs, and SARTs
  • Identify resources for survivors of sexual and domestic violence
