Core Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Advocacy Course
AUDIENCE: KCSDV member program advocates and staff only.

This course is intended to be an introductory course for domestic violence and sexual assault advocates who are new to the field. Advocates who have not attended a Domestic Violence Advocacy Course and/or Sexual Assault Advocacy Course within the past 5 years are encouraged to attend.
THIS TRAINING CONSISTS OF 2 PARTS. PART 1 MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE ATTENDING PART 2.

- 10 Sexual Assault Modules: Each module consists of an online training (about one-hour each), additional readings, and post-test. Available at: https://www.kcsdv.org/advocate-area/saac/
- 10 Domestic Violence Modules: Each module consists of an online training (about one-hour each), additional readings, and post-test. Available at: https://www.kcsdv.org/advocate-area/dvac/
Begin the online training modules as soon as possible to give yourself enough time to complete them prior to attending the in-person training.

(Registration begins at 9:30 am on day 1)
October 22, 2019: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
October 23, 2019: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
October 24, 2019: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Lunch is on your own all days. We will not be able to offer snacks or refreshments during the training so please bring anything you need to make yourself comfortable.
