Equity in Employment: Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence and Harassment in the Workplace – Virtual – January 2021

Equity in Employment: Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence and Harassment in the Workplace

Audience: KCSDV Member Program and Staff only

Sponsored by:

Kansas Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence

Training Description:

Workplace sexual harassment is widespread, encompassing everything from offensive comments and “jokes” to sexual assault and rape. Sexual harassment is used to maintain and exacerbate existing power imbalances. Despite growing awareness around this issue, sexual harassment remains widely underreported and many victims do not know what options are available to them. Join us as we unpack the dynamics of workplace sexual harassment and identify ideas for effective advocacy.

Objectives:

  • Describe the dynamics of workplace sexual harassment.
  • Discuss the impact of sexual harassment.
  • Identify options for victims of sexual harassment.
