Training Description:

The KCSDV Protection Order Project is excited to provide a space for advocates to take a deep dive into protection orders through a 4-part roundtable series. Roundtables will include guidance on the Kansas Protection Order Portal, safety planning, community collaboration, protection order basics, and best practices. The purpose of this series is to bring advocates to the table to discuss their experience with the protection order system and answer any questions they may have about assisting survivors with protection orders.

Learning objectives:

• Understand protection order basics;
• Effectively advocate and support survivors throughout the protection order court process; and
• Discuss local court processes and challenges.
