Join us for a 4-part webinar series in May 2020! Evidence Collection in the Emergency Department: Medical-Forensic Care of the Sexual Assault Patient Webinar Series was developed to supplement the in-person course during this time of physical distancing in response to COVID-19. Additionally, this course will continue to be provided in person to emergency departments across the state in the future.

The first webinar will focus on the trauma-informed, victim-centered framework. The second webinar will review mandatory reporting, medical screening and preparing for the sexual assault exam. The third webinar covers the medical forensic exam process. In the last webinar of the series, participants will learn strategies to identify special circumstances, review chain of custody and evidence transfer, as well as prepare courtroom testimony. Learning objectives and registration links for each webinar are below.

A PDF of the presentation materials will be provided to participants electronically.

This training is a 4-part series, and attendance at all four webinars, and completion of quiz is necessary to complete the training.  A certificate of attendance for Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits will be mailed to each participant upon the completion of the 4-part series.
