This webinar will provide participants with considerations for facilitators of adult survivor support groups. Participants will be provided information and best practices for planning, facilitating, and evaluating survivor support groups.

Presenter:

KATHY RAY, MSW

Kathy Ray is the Director of the Advocacy, Education, & Rural Projects division of the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (KCSDV).  She has been working to end sexual assault and domestic violence for over 15 years. During that time, she has facilitated numerous trainings and presentations for audiences statewide on responding to and preventing sexual and domestic violence.  She has developed curricula, model protocols, and other best practice resources on various issues impacting survivors and their children.  Prior to joining KCSDV, she provided direct services at a sexual assault and domestic violence advocacy program. In addition, she co-facilitated batterers’ intervention groups while completing her Master of Social Work from Washburn University.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with emphases in Women’s Studies and Business from Kansas State University.
